A Swedish giltwood mirror from the Rococo period, circa 1770. The piece is signed by Niclas Meunier of Stockholm, who was appointed Royal Court Mirror Maker in 1769. The mirror features a carved giltwood frame with characteristic asymmetrical rocaille cresting and foliate detailing. It retains both its original gilded finish and the original, divided two-part mirror glass plate.
