20th c, Armchairs by Alvar Aalto

Fine set of eight 20th mid century armchairs designed by Alvar Aalto and produced by Artek, Finland, ca 1960s. Originally conceived in 1947, This Model 45 with cane seat, stands as a quintessential expression of Aalto’s humanistic modernism and his pioneering role in shaping Scandinavian post-war furniture design.
