Two-part 18th Century Swedish Rococo Alder Root Secretary Cabinet is constructed with alder root veneer exterior. The upper section features a shaped, arched cornice positioned above two large paneled doors. Opening these upper doors reveals an unpainted, natural wood interior featuring two full width shelfs positioned above a row of three small drawers at the base. The lower section comprises a slant-front drop desk that opens to reveal a fitted interior, containing multiple small stepped drawers and a central locking tabernacle door. Below the writing surface, the base houses three full-width and two half width drawers. The cabinet is mounted with cast metal drawer pulls and keyhole escutcheons across both the upper and lower sections.

Condition: Structurally sound and in good condition. The alder root veneer displays age-appropriate surface wear, minor historic cracks, and previous repairs consistent with 18th-century use. The unpainted pine interior is fully intact and stable. Hardware, interior locks, and hinges remain integrated into the wooden frame. however, some of the cast metal drawer pulls on the lower section are later replacements.
