18th century Swedish Rococo painted wooden sofa, constructed with a triple chair-back design, featuring contoured, pierced splats and carved shell and foliate motifs along the crest rail of each section. The shaped front apron displays corresponding relief carvings across the span of the frame. The piece is supported by cabriole front legs terminating in carved claw feet, united by a framework of turned stretchers, and is fitted with a single continuous seat cushion upholstered in a neutral textured fabric. The frame has been dry scraped to reveal its original pale blue-gray painted surface.

Condition: Structurally stable. The dry-scraped finish exhibits extensive historic wear, with heavy paint loss revealing the underlying raw wood across high-contact edges. The backrest shows small missing sections of wood along the edge of the center splat. Additionally, the reverse side of the right splat features a historical structural repair consisting of a nailed metal mending plate, which has been over-painted in white and shows subsequent surface wear.
